Jennifer Janes is a hospice social worker from San Antonio. The former president of Congregation Beth Am holds a master’s degree in Jewish studies and has long struggled with big questions about the nature of God and why evil and suffering exist in the world. A series of childhood illnesses set this spiritual seeker on a quest which she is still on today, though she’s found a comfortable spiritual home in Reconstructionist Judaism.
